There has been a lot of buzz around the new line of CPUs and GPUs released by AMD, especially the competition-slaying yet affordable Ryzen’s 3rd generation CPU series. The details provided by the company has brought a smile across tech-enthusiasts, fans and potential buyers alike and so far it seems that it ticks the right boxes. As soon as the CPUs hit stores in Kolkata a few days after its initial release, we had a chance to work with Supreme Technologies to organize an event celebrating the same with a live build.
At the heart of the machine was the brand new AMD Ryzen 5 3600 hexa-core CPU on top of MSI Prestige X570 Creation motherboard, coupled with 32 gigabytes of Zion Blaze RGB memory. CPU cooling was handled by the NZXT Kraken x72 AIO liquid cooler with a 360mm radiator. Powering the graphics department was the all-new Radeon RX 5700 GGR6 graphics card which has a respectably high 8gb VRAM. All of the software necessary to boot and play was stored in a GALAX Gamer SSD with 120gb size, which contained Windows 10 and all the games we played, including recent titles like Metro Exodus and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
The builders also explained the process along with every step they took in the build to all attending spectators. After the build was ready and successfully run it was also tested for a stable overclock on the spot. Within the time constrain the system managed to run at the 4.2GHz base at 1.45V and highest memory speed of 3466Mhz, above which it didn’t seem to boot. It could have gone higher with some tinkering but that would have taken much more time.
It must be mentioned that the Kraken X72 managed to run the system tests at these overclocks with temps around 32 degrees, which is pretty fantastic. Props to NZXT for lending us this AIO to be used in the system.
After this, we distributed goodies to attendees and friends associated with our organizing partners.
Although we exceeded the maximum time period of the event we still managed to get the job done well and make people happy. With these kind of events, we strongly believe that there is a very good number of interested as well as knowledgeable people in Kolkata and given more such activities happen in the city the numbers are bound to increase, which is slowly happening and we aim to be a part of this growth for the betterment of the community in Kolkata, no strings attached. Shoutouts to NZXT, AMD, GALAX, MSI and Ant Esports for sponsoring the event, without them none of this was possible and we hope you, the brands, the community, all of you keep supporting us in this journey in the coming future and we at team Tech Syndrome plan to work harder to bring more activities and events to you.
